A Christmas card photo without the photo shoot
Getting everyone into matching outfits, finding a tree that looks good on camera and making the kids sit still is the hard part of a Christmas photo. This AI Christmas photo generator skips all of that. Start from any photo you already have, even a casual snapshot from the summer, and turn it into a holiday picture that looks like it was taken on Christmas morning.
The tool edits the outfits, the setting and the lighting while keeping the faces, expressions and the number of people the same. A family of four stays a family of four, and grandma still looks like grandma. That is what makes the result usable for a Christmas card instead of just a funny filter.
Five Christmas themes to choose from
Each theme is one click, with no prompt to write. Pick the one that fits your card, or run the same photo through several themes and keep the favorite.

BeforeAfterFamily pajamas
Everyone gets matching red and green plaid pajamas in front of a decorated tree with presents: the classic family Christmas card. It is the theme to use for group and family photos.

BeforeAfterChristmas sweater
Dresses each person in a knitted holiday sweater in a cozy living room with string lights. A good choice when you want something festive but less matching than pajamas.

BeforeAfterSnowy street
Places you outside in falling snow with a winter coat and scarf, lit by warm Christmas lights. It works well for portraits and couples who want an outdoor winter look.

BeforeAfterBy the fireplace
Creates a warm indoor portrait with hanging stockings, a glowing fire and a tree in the background, which works especially well for single portraits and couples.

BeforeAfterSanta hat
The lightest touch: it keeps your clothes and pose, adds a Santa hat to everyone and decorates the background with snowflakes and lights.
Christmas card photo size & print tips
Your Christmas photo comes out at about 1K resolution, roughly 900 × 1200 pixels for a portrait photo. The shape follows your original photo, so a portrait stays portrait and a landscape family shot stays landscape.
That size looks sharp on phones, in messaging apps and on Instagram or Facebook, and it is fine for small prints such as a 4 × 6 inch (10 × 15 cm) photo card. For large prints or posters you would want a higher resolution original, so keep those for digital use.
When you order printed cards, crop to the card shape in the print service and leave a little space around faces so nothing important is trimmed at the edge. Download the image first and upload it to the print service, rather than using a screenshot, to keep the full quality.
Tips for the best AI Christmas photos
Use a photo where every face is visible and in focus. Daylight or bright indoor light gives the most natural skin tones. For group photos, small groups work best: couples, families and friends of up to about five or six people. Very large groups or tiny faces in the distance are harder to keep accurate.
If the first result is not quite right, try another theme or a different photo of the same people. Each image costs one credit, and if a generation fails the credit is returned automatically.
Want a specific outfit?
The themes choose the holiday outfits for you. If you have a particular look in mind, such as a red velvet dress or a specific sweater from a shop, use the AI clothes swapper instead: upload the photo, add a picture of the outfit or describe it, and the AI dresses you in exactly that.

Ideas for your Christmas photos
Send a personalized Christmas card when the family could not get together for a photo this year. Post a matching-pajama family photo on Instagram or Facebook, make a festive profile picture for the holidays, or surprise relatives with a Christmas version of an old family photo. Teams and small businesses can also make a quick holiday greeting from an existing team photo, as long as everyone in the photo agrees.

AI Christmas photo FAQ
Is the AI Christmas photo generator free?
No. Every image uses 1 credit. One-time packs start at $4.99 for 20 images, with no subscription, and credits never expire. You can browse the example results on this page without paying.
Can I use a family or group photo?
Yes. Family pajamas, sweaters, snow and Santa hats are all applied to every person in the photo. Small groups of up to about five or six people with clearly visible faces give the best results.
Will our faces stay the same?
The tool is told to keep every face identity, expression and the number of people unchanged, and only change outfits, setting and lighting. Results are usually very close to the original; if one looks off, try another photo or theme.
Which Christmas themes are available?
Five: matching family pajamas by the tree, Christmas sweater, snowy street, by the fireplace, and Santa hat. Each is a single click, no prompt writing needed.
Can I print it as a Christmas card?
